BASIC ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Generally, candidates seeking admission into the University are expected to have a minimum of five O’Level credit passes as stated above at no more than two sittings. However, each Department in the faculty has specific requirements which are peculiar to it.

UME JAMB Subjects

The followings must be taken at the UME for consideration for admission into Architecture.

  • English language
  1. Fine Art / Technical Drawing
  2. Government / History
  3. Any one of the followings: Economics, Geography or any science subject

                UME Admissions

To be admitted into this department, a candidate needs 5 O-Level credits which  should include the followings.

  1. English language
  2.   Mathematics
  1. Fine / Libra Arts
  2. Any two of the followings:  Geography, Economics, Technical Drawing , Chemistry, Physics, Agric. Science and Biology.

In any combination, at least a pass in Fine Arts/Technical Drawing is mandatory if it is not included in the five credits.

Direct Admissions

1   (a)     Holders of the Ordinary  National Diploma (OND) in Fine Arts / Upper

Credit pass from NBTE accredited institutions may be considered for direct entry into the Second Year (200 level), provided they meet the O – level and all the other OOU requirements

OR

(b)   Also, holders of GCE A-level with a minimum credit unit of 9 in any one of the

Following:

Economics, Geography, Chemistry, or Fine Arts may be considered for Second Year (200 level), provided such candidate meets the O – level requirements and all other OOU requirements.

 

OR (c)   Holders of Olabisi Onabanjo University, College of Engineering and Technology, Degree Foundation  Programme in Architecture, URP or Fine & Applied Arts with CGPA of a minimum of 2.5 may be considered for direct entry into the Second Year (200 level), provided such candidates meet the O – level University and departmental requirements

 

OR (d) Holders of Olabisi Onabanjo University PDS Programme with CGPA of 3.0 minimum may be considered   for direct entry into the Second Year (200 level), provided such candidates meet the O – level University and departmental requirements.

Special Admission

.     Holders of the Higher  National Diploma (HND) in Fine Arts with Upper Credit pass  from NBTE accredited institutions may be considered for direct entry into the Third Year (300 level), provided they meet the O – level and all other OOU requirements
